Love Booth Sneak Peak.

Travis immediately told us that this would be one of the best images of the evening. We concur!

Travis and Maike McNeill of welovepictures, our good friends, told us that they would set up a Photo Booth they affectionately called the “Love Booth” during our reception. After dinner, we cleared away our wedding table and set up this simple, yet ridiculously fun and creative “Love Booth” alongside one wall of our reception. Let’s just say that immense ridiculousness ensued. We cannot show all the goodness yet, as the photos are still in raw, unedited form, but simply couldn’t resist a sneak peak of one image (sorry friends!):

All the Kamalski's, exemplifying just how ridiculous we truly are.

Ok, we lied, but this photo is already on Facebook. Our crazy 3rd Place family.

#Chraxie Celebration Presents ‘The 25.’

"Something Funny." One of many beautiful moments during our wedding day!

Download #Chraxie Celebration Presents ‘The 25′ here. (May take awhile to load as images are hi-res).

Download #Chraxie Celebration Presents ‘The 25′ (Small) here. (Faster, smaller version).

We can’t wait to show you a little piece of creative beauty that we put together entitled ‘The 25′ to celebrate the most amazing#Chraxie Celebration that went down on the lovely day that was June 4th. We hope that whether you participated in our special wedding day, or are simply clicking through via Facebook, you know that we consider you a valuable member of our community. We can’t wait to continue the party this coming November 19th in the Bay Area, and December 3rd in Orange County!

We love you, Chraxie

"Instagram Loves Chraxie" (thanks to Elandre Montgomery).

Pierre Du Plessis just sent this to us, convincing me finally that I really would love an iPhone.

Chraxie Celebration! Program.

Apparently Abraham Lincoln married Cinderella!

Welcome to the Chraxie Celebration!

“I like the part of the Bible that talks about God speaking the world into existence, as though everything we see and feel were sentences from his mouth, all the wet of the world his spit. I feel written. My skin feels written, and my desires feel written. My sexuality was  word spoken by God, that I would be male, and I would have brown hair and brown eyes and come from a womb. It feels literary, doesn’t it, as if we are characters in books. You can call it God or a conscience, or you can dismiss it as that intuitive knowing we all have as human beings, as living storytellers; but there is a knowing that I feel that guides me toward better stories, toward being a better character. I believe there is a Writer outside ourselves, plotting a better story for us, interacting with us, even, and whispering a better story into our consciousness.”

[Donald Miller, A Million Miles In A Thousand Years]

Exuberant worship, joyful play, and beanies and scarves = the stuff of an epic celebration!

Why celebrate through joyful play?

As Christ-followers, we join with a global tribe in celebrating the extended season of Easter, seeking to live life in rhythm with God throughout our daily lives. Currently, we walk alongside a community of faith at 3rd Place, a wonderful gathering of the church. We celebrate the “joy of being human, the glory of God among us. It is faith in Christ, in fact, that built joy and excitement, happiness and satisfaction, abandon and trust, fun and holy leisure right into the middle of life in the first place” (Joan Chittester). Come pick up a deck of cards or toss a bocce ball alongside us! This celebration is for you as well!

[Twitter hashtag for the celebration: #chraxiecelebration]

Why beanies and scarves?

David Crowder writes, “To participate in the story of God is to be God’s redemptive act in creation. We must endeavor to discern what it means and looks like to love our neighbors and manage this good earth that we have been entrusted. We must live decisively.” Our heart is that together, we are a force for good. Any gathering of compassionate, committed Jesus followers should be felt by those in need around us. We were honored to bless the children of Good Hope in Mabopane with beanies and scarves in the hope that as winter descends, our love may be felt in the warmth that wraps around them!
